Good job, nice work on this. Mostly right: The new Bad News Bears is a great flick in a vacuum.
There are a few more baseball movies you'll like if you can find them:
"Cooperstown" starring Alan Arkin and a HILARIOUS Graham Greene (from Dances with Wolves) made for TNT in 1993.
"Pastime" 1990 - a touching minor league film featuring a young Glenn Plummer and a not-young Jeffrey Tambor.
"The Saint of Second Chances" - a doc about minor league baseball promoter Mike Veeck, son of legendary baseball promoter Bill Veeck.
"Alibi Ike" - a 1935 comedy about a vagabond pitcher who's always on the come and has an excuse for everything. If you're into foxy dames, Olivia de Haviland is a peach!
"The Bronx is Burning" - miniseries about Steinbrenner / Reggie era that is...spotty, but very interesting as it fails. Oliver Platt is always great.
The Fan!! Loved that movie. Intense man!
Where's "The Winning Team"?
Good catch! I’m going to add it.
