Loved reading this! One I’ve been to that wasn’t on your list was the Oakland Coliseum. Was in the Bay Area on business last May and did a hot route for their afternoon double header against TEX so that I could see the park in its last year. Would almost certainly be your #23 lol. But it was a beautiful dump in an astonishing way if that makes sense. Almost couldn’t believe how bad it was.
I think GABP deserves to be a lot higher, especially when you consider the museum/HoF connected to it. Dodger Stadium is great in that you enter from the top and walk down to your seat, but it is a bear to get out of the parking lot after. Wrigley is always a major pain to get there and leave. I think Sox Park is the one I’ve been to the most times, and…it’s adequate. It does the job. I pretty much agree with your thoughts on Baltimore and DC and Arlington. I took the ballpark tour at Arlington and got to walk on the field, but it also seems mall-like to my tastes.
A surprisingly reasonable list. I went to Kauffman for the first time last week, and it’s shocking how much better it is than any of its contemporaries. I’ve also been to Houston (not that different than Globe Life) and Denver (which I love many parts of, but it’s so big it’s a stadium more than a ballpark, which takes it way down on my list). Can’t wait to make it to San Francisco one day.
Very good list. I would rank LA even higher, tbh. Nothing quite like seeing palm trees silhouetted against a purple sunset while you’re watching a ballgame.
I love your list. My brother and son and I are constantly rating and re-rating ballparks. I agree with you that history plays a big part in these decisions as well as what you witness. Great article!!

I’m jealous! Wish I had been able to see that one.
Nice review of it on this link I recently came across - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXj8COjXUko

As I’m re-reading this, I really do think I’ve underrated GABP.

Why surprisingly? Haha
Well, you know…*waves around at a decade of your writing about Wayne Krenchiki, Mark Ruffalo, Lisalverto Bonilla…* 😂
Fair enough lol
Send me a message if you’re ever back in Philly!

I hope to be back in Philly soon. We had a great time.
Agree about LA. I could have ranked it higher. What a view!
