Revised and updated, it's a fun romp through Reds history

Thanks to all of you who pre-ordered, and for the rest of you, the revised and updated edition of The Big 50: The Men and Moments That Made the Cincinnati Reds is now available for ordering wherever you order fine books, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

If you read the previous edition, Chris and I believe there’s enough new material to justify a new purchase. But if you never got around to reading the first edition, you’re in for a treat, I promise.

My writing here at The Riverfront has leaned more and more into the fun stories from the history of the Reds. The current team can be frustrating, but there are so many interesting stories and anecdotes and memories from the last century of Cincinnati baseball that, frankly, it’s often just more fun to write about that history.

When Chris and I wrote this book, our goal was to make sure that even the most die-hard Reds fans learned something new in every single chapter. But we also wanted to make sure that each chapter was upbeat, entertaining, and just fun. The feedback we got from the first edition was gratifying, and I really do feel like we accomplished our goal.

All of that is to say: I think this book is worth your while if you are a Reds fans — or, if you have a Reds fan in your life, it makes a great gift! These stories are timeless, and I’m very proud of what Chris and I have produced here.
