Happy Thanksgiving!
I have many things to be thankful for this holiday season. If I don’t include sports, 2024 has been one of my best years ever. I’m luckier than I deserve. (Of course, if I do include sports, it’s been yet another horrible year. This is what Cincinnati sports does to us.)
One thing I’m incredibly grateful for is you, Devoted Reader. Many of you have been reading my dumb words for a number of years, and we’ve also had an influx of new subscribers over recent months. Thanks for reading and for sharing and for the great feedback in my email inbox and the fun conversations I’ve had with many of you. I’m humbled by the support and excited to see what’s in store for this community in the coming year. Thank you!
I hope you are enjoying your day, and I hope you’re able to spend time with friends and family. One of my family’s annual Thanksgiving traditions is to watch the “Turkey Drop” episode of WKRP in Cincinnati every year. Join us in laughing at the climactic scene:
As God is my witness…
